Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter.
  2. Once melted, add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and tender.
  3. Add the green beans to the skillet and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.
  4. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
